Privacy Policy

Lusail Sports Club is based at the Al Egla training site in Lusail, State of Qatar. We are the party responsible for the personal data processed through our website and app. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

We collect only what we need to run your membership and the club services:

• Account and membership details — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, membership tier, and the credentials you use to sign in.
• Attendance and loyalty — records of the matches and academy sessions you attend, scanned at our turnstiles, and the academy-registration discount you earn from them.
• Device and technical data — your device model, operating system, app version, a device token used to deliver notifications, and crash diagnostics that help us fix problems.
• Usage and analytics — anonymous statistics about how the app is used, collected only if you turn analytics on in Settings.
• Messages you send us — the name, email, subject and message you submit through the website contact form.

If you enable biometric sign-in (such as fingerprint or Face ID), your biometric data never leaves your device — it is held by your device's secure hardware, and we only receive confirmation that your device verified you. If you sign in with a social account, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider to create or match your membership account.

We use your personal data to:

• operate and secure your membership account;
• verify your attendance and calculate your academy-registration discount;
• send match reminders, results and club news by push notification, where you have allowed them;
• diagnose crashes and keep the app working reliably;
• respond to your enquiries; and
• understand and improve our services.

Our website uses essential cookies that it needs to work and to remember your language choice. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent. The app stores a small amount of data on your device — such as your session and preferences — for the same purposes.

With your permission we send notifications about matches and club news. You can turn these off at any time from the app's Settings, or in your device settings.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf — including Google / Firebase for push notifications, crash reporting and (optional) analytics — and where we are required to by law or need to protect the Club's rights. These providers process your data under our instructions.

Some of our service providers may process data outside Qatar. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected to a standard consistent with the PDPPL.

We keep your personal data for as long as your membership is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) and secure on-device storage for credentials — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Under the PDPPL you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to withdraw your consent (for example to analytics or marketing), and to ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Membership accounts are intended for adults. Where a child takes part in our academy, a parent or guardian registers and manages the account on the child's behalf.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes in the app or on the website.
